About 1000 Rejections

1000 Rejections is a free app and a library of guides about doing the thing almost nobody wants to do on purpose: asking for things and getting told no.

Who writes this?

Everything here is written by Gene, who built the Get Rejected app and runs the challenge himself. Every guide on this site carries the same byline, because one person writes them.

To be direct about it: he is not a psychologist, a therapist, or a clinician, and nothing here is a substitute for one. What he is, is someone who built a tracking tool for a practice he does, read the underlying research carefully, and writes up what it actually says.

How the guides are researched

The claims on this site fall into three buckets, and they are kept separate on purpose:

What this site is not

It is not medical or mental health advice. Rejection sensitivity, social anxiety, and rejection sensitive dysphoria are real clinical topics, and the guides that touch them are written to help you recognise and understand them, not to treat them. If rejection is affecting your daily functioning, talk to a professional.

How this site makes money

The app is free. There is an optional Pro subscription that unlocks extra features. There are no ads, no sponsored guides, and no affiliate links in the articles, including in the comparison of rejection therapy apps, which lists competing products on their merits.
